I'm praying that some other place in town knows that there's only one band in the world like that and gives them a night or two per week. The Palms was a great place to hear the boyz but I'd rather see them in a main showroom filled with music lovers from around the world 'cause it's better than just about anything I can think of. Oh well, seems like my taste is batting zero these days but, hey, Santa Fe?????? Awesome. Bill

The sooner the better. I'm really hoping to get to see them when I'm in Las Vegas in March. I've missed them so many times, I think now I - and lots and lots of people with love for their music - have to be lucky. Toi, toi, toi! (means "crossing my fingers")

Just announced that Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns will be performing in
Main Showroom at the Trop on January 18th and 25th for a trial run. If the turnout is good, it could be permanent. As Bill Champlin would attest I'm sure, they are a band's band. Check 'em out on youtube. I would recommend their medley of Earth, Wind, and Fire hits, or the original "This time Love is Gonna Find You". I believe, Bill Champlin wrote that one. Best of Luck Santa Fe.

I've always thought that they should be in a main room. Way too good for lounges. Fingers are crossed that it stays in place. Bill

This music is way too special to not have a home. An evening with those boys is truly a healing experience. It sounds like they need to have a good turnout to get the dates extended. Any creative ideas to get bodies (preferably live ones!) in there on the 18th and 25th can only help the cause.

I know that I'm very fortunate to be close enough to drive over there for the show on the 18th, and to be able to go. Of course I'll be there and spread the word to everyone I know.

If anyone doesn't know about this band - Go if there is any way you can make it to Vegas for the 18th or 25th. Trust me - you are on this site, in this forum - obviously have ears for tasty music, there is no way you will not be blown away by this band if you go!

One would think there would be SOME place in Las Vegas for this band to play! It ain't Omaha, Neb. after all.

Maybe SF&FCH can move around a little, among 2 or 3 places. I have seeing this band "live" on my "Bucket List" of things to do... Haaaaaaah! We're less than a month into 2010 & already I'd have to say this new CD of their's could be the year's favorite. What a masterpiece all the way around! Since most of us here on this site probably have it, get the word out to others how awesome Santa Fe is. :D

That's great news about the Trop. Hopefully, they'll get some permanent dates locked up and we can book our next trip to Las Vegas.

Fingers are crossed. Santa Fe and the guys are a special thing that can only be found in one place; now they just need a roof and a PA and all will be set for the healing to continue. Bill

My wife and I always talk about how we'd wish supper clubs would return! It of course would have to be a vintage style update...but it's a great concept that would give tremendous artists the platform to showcase their greatness! Greg

It happened last night at the Main Showroom in the Tropicana, Las Vegas. According to Santa Fe blogger Bobby D http://santafeandthefatcityhorns.blogspot.com/, the night was a huge success. Crowd estimate was 450-500 people. All were treated to this amazing group's music and were "healed". I hope the gig remains permanent. If anyone on this board is in Vegas, please make it your business to see these guys. You will not be disappointed. :D
